Disperse Dyes

Disperse dyes are synthetic dyes. It is one kind of organic substances which is free of ionizing group. Disperse dyes are less soluble in water and used for dyeing synthetic textile materials. It is mainly used for dyeing polyester yarn of fabric.

Why is it called Dispersed Dye? It is because it is non soluble and molecularly dispersed therefore dispersing agent is necessary for coloration with disperse dyes.
